My son was born on September 8, 1990 at St. James hospital in Chicago Heights Il. His adoption to place in February of 1991. The lawyers name was Mr. Sims or spelled Simms. His office was out of Homewood Flossmore, Il. My son’s Birth name was Charley David Hunt. The agreement of the adoption was that they kept his fist and middle name. My ex-husband destroyed the papers and Cook county Court house wouldn’t give me copies. They told me I had to get it from the lawyer. I sent a letter to his office, with update of my information and got no response. I called that office a few years ago and they said they never heard of him and wanted to charge me $5000.00 to get the court records. I have sent Illinois my medical information over 5 yrs ago and still yet haven’t heard anything. Not sure what to do. I was told by the lawyer that the adopted parents worked for the government. I did have the adoption closed due to personal reasons. I am really hope someone can help me find my son.
