I am searching for my father’s birth family. His birthplace was Illinois 5/9/1943. He was adopted by a Quaker couple. We were under the impression that he was of Hispanic origin. However I recently took DNA test and now we believe he MAY have been from a family with an Ashkenazi Jewish background. My DNA IS 52.2% United Kingdom, Ireland (My maternal grandparents are most definitely Irish & Scottish) 17.4% Ashkenazi Jewish 4.2% French & German1.2% Finnish 0.8% Scandinavian, 0.4% Iberian, 19.5% Broadly Northwestern European, 0.1% Broadly Southern European & 1.2% Sub-Saharan African
