My great-grandmother was born about 1907‚ possibly 1908. She was adopted by Dr. Francis N. Maguiness and Mrs. Jessie Maguiness (nee Lamoreaux) in Illinois. My great-grandmother remembered being given up for adoption and living in an orphanage but never said which one. She was an adolescent when she was adopted by the Maguiness family and had a very happy life with them. I am interested in locating her birth certificate if available‚ or any information about the adoption.
