Born in Chicago at St Augustine hospital. Adopted through The Cradle approximately 6 weeks after birth. Name of mother on the birth certificate was Marie Antionette Bertan. Mother reported to be from Baltimore. Also reported to have a half brother 2 1/2 years older. An aunt that would have been 12 years my senior who remembers her sister being sent to The Cradle. Information about father was “legally omitted” from the birth certificate. My genetic test was 1/2 Italian (reported) mother, 20% Irish, 10% British and other European ancestry.
