My grandmother was born March 19‚ 1944 in Chicago‚ IL. She was abandoned by her mother Mildred Martin in Evanston‚ IL and was adopted by John and Eleanor Moorhead. While I have Mildred’s name. I cannot find her anywhere. I am assuming my grandmother was put up for adoption because my grandmothers father possibly died during WWII and Mildred may not have had the resources to care for her. The name of the attorney for adoption was Ralph E. Batten. Case number 107205 Michael J. Flynn clerk of the county court of cook county signed the decree of adoption. My grandmother is listed as Baby Girl Martin on her adoption form
