I am searching for my mother’s biological family members. Her biological mother and my Grandparents, Andrew and Francine Allen (originally Edlestein) of Inglewood, Ill were a part of the pregnancy (at some point) and arranged for Private adoption of my mom (whom we believe was named Patricia prior to and at her birth, then re-named Sharon/Sherri by my Grandparents). Also, we believe my mom’s biological mother was around 16-17 when she gave birth to my mom. My mom was raised Jewish though we’ve heard she was not the biological infant of Jewish parents. My mom also grew up with an older brother (7 years older, same birthdate as my mom, his adopted sister). He is Dr. Neil Allen of Highland Park. My Uncle Neil has never left the suburbs of Chicago but my Grandparents and mom moved from Ill to Tucson, AZ when my mom was 14 (1962) for my Grandma’s health needs revolving around her Lupas. In Tucson, my Grandparents owned carpet stores named “The Carpet Man”. By the way, I’m JT, a 50 year old mother of 2 amazing children (21,18) and we live in my native state, Arizona. Presently, my Mom (the adopted “baby” who went with my Grandparents immediately upon arriving) lives in Highland Park, Ill. Looking forward to exchanging information and ultimately having a reunion with family I would love to connect with.
