I was told my surname (probably my mother’s) was Tackitt. I was adopted from the Chicago Children’s Foundling Home on Polk St. Supposedly, my mother was 18 and my father was in the Korean War - maybe 19. The story I was given was that he accompanied my mother’s brother on a leave of absence and during that short time impregnated my mother - not sure how true that story is. I am mainly English & Irish followed by French and German and of Protestant faith.
