Albert Nagy was born on 10 February 1932 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago Illinois to Barbara Nagy. He was adopted by his stepfather‚ George Liptay at age 18‚ before leaving for the Air Force in 1950. They lived in the same building owned by Barbara’s parents - Laszlo and Illona Nagy‚ who also owned a furniture refinishing business at that location. The building now houses Chief O’Neill’s Pub (corner of Elston and Albany Ave).
