My name is Edward Bennett and I do not know either my birth parents. I was born in cook county hospital but my original birth certificate was ‘sealed?’ I don’t know if I can access any of my health records and I don’t know either biological parents name. From what I’ve been told I was born in Cook County Hospital on December 24th 1994 but was put immediately into care. I was ward of state until being adopted by Owen and Theresa Ault hence named Edward Ault. I was removed from their house hold due to child abuse and again adopted in 2005 by Gary and Marylin Bennett. Adopted twice, I never saw my original birth certificate and have no contact with the Aults and no names to go by in finding my bio parents. I have a brother named Eric Bennett in which we were told at an early age that we were blood brothers on our maternal side. When I was 18 I thought I would be told by my a DCFS worker who my bio parents were but they told me I had to wait until I was 21. I am 23 now.
