His mother, Bertha Majesty Snyder b 7 Apr 1886, Barnesville, SC, d 29 Sept 1945, Chicago, Cook, Illinois. Bertha was in Chicago, Illinois in the 1910, 1930, 1940 censuses. Ancestry records show her marrying Garnard Grist, b 31 Dec 1884, Radstock, England, d 21 Sep 1950, Cook, Chicago, IL) 11 Nov 1909. Their son, Elmer Gist, b 23 Oct 1910, d 1 Jan 1992. Elmer had another birth record where his birth date was 03 May 1907. There is no record of John Joseph "Jack" Reynolds with his mother in the census records. In 1940 census he is with his wife, Martha Reynolds, b18 Nov 1917, Frazee, MN, d. 15 Feb 2002. Portland, OR. I have no marriage records for Jack and Martha.
