Adoption took place in or around Chicago. My adoptive grandparents (my mother is the adoptee & I’m searching on her behalf) were living in Berwyn prior to her adoption and then moved to the NW side of Chicago. My grandparents were a young couple at the time, born in 1920 and 1924, and adopted my mother around 1955 or 1956, as she was born in December. My grandparents have since passed away, so I cannot get more information from them. She was blond-haired blue-eyed and my grandparents went on to adopt 2 more (unrelated) children. My grandmother could not have her own children.
