I’m reaching out on behalf of my mother. Her name is Catherine Louise Bonds‚ at birth it was Catherine Louise Schlecht. I found her birth mother‚ the late Linda Marie Schlecht‚ through ancestry DNA in 2018. We were able to reunite with some of her family since she had passed in 2004‚ but her entire family did not know of her pregnancy and we discovered she was sent to a home for unwed mothers by her parents. I have a couple matches for several cousins separated on her paternal side—but now I’m looking to see if we could find out who her biological father is‚ as ancestry DNA doesn’t have close enough hits for me to easily track it down. My mom was born in Springfield‚ illinois and adopted in Griggsville‚ Illinois .
