My father was adopted at the age of 2 or 3. He was adopted by a couple that lived near his family. He recalls playing with cousin and prior to adoption he slept on a trunk. HIs adopted name is Melborn Montgomery - he died on 8/17/2000. He believes his cousins name to be Frank Durell. THey ived in Nameoki or Granite City Illinois. He lived on Palmer street. My DNA in ancestry matched me with the Durell Family that he recalls. I am not certain that his mother wasn’t Pearl Smith Durell who passed away in 1933. His reissued Birth Certificate is from Missouri. My names is Donna Montgomery Staat
