On or after March 12‚ 1948‚ my twin was taken from the hospital in Urbana‚ Illinois. My parents were not told they were having twins. Comments from the doctors and nurses which were later compared gave the indication that there were 2 babies‚ one of each sex. There is also a change on the hospital birth certificate which suggests there were twins. If that were correct‚ the missing baby would be male. I’ve been searching for him ever since I learned of the discrepancies surrounding my birth. The baby’s adoption would most likely have been private‚ through a doctor‚ a nurse‚ or an attorney. It would probably not have been through an addoption agency. Historical records from that year indicate babies were being kidnapped/stolen/taken by medical personnel and sold under private adoptions.
