I am searching for my brother Michael. My grandfather forced my mother to make a choice (she was unmarried) between her newborn and her two year old son. He was the one who arranged the adoption. Michael was born in a hospital in or near Bad Hersfeld‚ Germany. He was taken directly from the hospital‚ she never brought him home. He was adopted by a military family. His birthdate is October 18th‚ I believe it was 1957‚ but could be off one year either way.He was in the area for about two years before the family rotated out. I believe he had an older sister that may also have been adopted. Info I have: Anna K. Gerwig (mother) Father was an American GI (no name) Hansbrother that was about two at the time of birth. Karl and Johanne Gerwig (grandparents in Bad Hersfeld) Adopted family's name is Nolan‚ or close to it.
