I am looking for the genealogy of my grandfather‚ William Hanape Mathews. It seems like he was born to William Hanape/Hanapi and Filamena/philamina Santiago in 1910. However‚ his parents are listed as James Mathews and Filamina Kaliko. We are assuming he was adopted by James Mathews‚ but the dates of the only James Mathews I can find doesn’t seem to add up. We don’t know when/why he was adopted‚ and we are trying to get some answers.
