This is to find the birth father of my husband’s mother. Her name was Winifred May Pearce and she was thought to be born in Portsmouth‚ Hampshire‚ England on 2 May 2015 to Gertrude Pearce who I believe was born in 1891 in Gosport‚ Hampshire and died in Gosport on 26 Dec 1985. I don’t know when Winifred was adopted but she remained in the area after adoption. She kept the adoption secret from the family until my husband and I migrated to Australia in 1982 and then she told me about it when I asked her about her parents. As she is now deceased‚ we don’t know how to find out who her birth father was. Thank you
