I Was told on my birth certificate my mother’s name was Thelma Zachariah?? Last name spelled something like that. I was told she was only 15 and left me at the hospital and took off after giving birth to me. I was later adopted months later to a family in the United States because they had family in Guatemala so somehow I was told they acquired me from the hospital and waited for their relatives in the US to come get me and make the adoption official. I didn’t even get my naturalization paperwork till about 13 years later which I thought you would get once your adopted. My adopted mother died while I was incarcerated and my adopted father tells me he can’t find anything not even my adoption papers or birth certificate and I just feel so lost to the truth about me and like I don’t fit in with the adoptive family like there is too many secrets. I am hoping to get answers. I was told the city was Zacapa.
