My American name is Steven and I was adopted from an orphanage out of Frankfurt, Germany and the dates I have from a handwritten document by my adopted father says March 1967-June 1968. My adopted parents are both deceased and the only document in my possession is my passport from the time period of the adoption. I was told my birthdate is Aug. 11, 1966 and there was a physical impairment issues with my eyes. Surgery was done in the U.S. to correct the problem.. This may have been a contributing factor to the adoption. My passport is Greek and it states a (Pre Nom) reference as Evangelos and a (Nom) as Argupopoulos I am taking a guess this might have been the name I was given. (Ovoua) greek word referencing Eyarrenoz or Eyarrenos. I can’t identify if the last letter is a z or s. (greek word starting with E, maybe xwvuuoy) Apryponounos or Apryponoynos? hard to read it. (Domicile) Volos It is stamped by the Consult General Royal De Grece/Frankfurt, says (Delivre a) Frankfurt 20 Jan. 1967 Then shows traveled/sent to U.S. Immigration, McGuire A. F. B., N.J. 12 on Aug. 7, 1968 admitted 1R-3 There is no names listed under the Fathers or Mothers name spot on the doc. My adopted parents names are: Coulette Rowe Paul Donnell Bocz He was in the U.S. Air Force I am trying to find information to help me find my Greek family, my adoption papers, birth certificate or anything to assist me in locating this information. I do not know if my Greek family knows of my existence or if they have ever tried to find me.. I would like to know if I have family still living and or siblings. I would appreciate any assistance or helpful resources..
