I am helping my cousin in Greece find his brother. His brother was born in The Pananeio Hospital Heraklion, Crete on July 26 1968. He had to be taken to Athens To Aghia Sophia Hospital within a couple of days of his birth for a surgical procedure. The baby was accompanied by his father. While in hospital in Athens my uncle was told the baby died (August 11) He was then given a sealed box said to have contained the baby’s body. He had the box buried in a cemetary in Athens and returned to Crete. He never saw the baby’s body. We suspect the baby was illegally given up for adoption, as were many others during that period in Greece with similar stories.
