Hello, my name.is Pam Wolf, I live in the United States. I was born in Greece and to the best of my knowledge born on September 25, 1957, in Athens, Greece. I was left on a doorstep in the Kalamaki area of Athens. On September 30,1957, I was taken to the Argyropolis Police station, by two policeman. From there, I was taken to the Municipal Orphanage of Athens, which is where I lived until my adoption was finalized. At the age of 9 months, I left Greece destined for the United States. I have performed DNA tests with all of the major DNA companies. I have gained the knowledge that 98% of my matches are from the Southern Peloponnese area of Greece. Kalamata and the surrounding villages are the where I my family lives. Having been an abandoned and non-identified baby, I have nothing to guide me to them. I have had a few strong matched and all of these have their roots in the Southern Peloponnese. My mother may not have been married and felt scared and alone. This is the case with most of the abandoned, non-identified babies in Greece at that time. This was considered a scandal and brought shame to the families. Being adopted and searching for family is a difficult task and these circumstances add to the difficulty. They prevent people in Greece from stepping forward. I have been on a arduous search for 15 years and have made three trips to Greece to look for leads. I did uncover the address where I was left and the names of the people living in the home, at that time. I remain hopeful! Thank you for reading this.post!
