There are twin boys born in Manchester on 28 October 1965. John and David Dearden‚ 5 years before I was born in 1970. After my mother’s death‚ we found two birth certificates in her belongings. It would have made her about 27 years old having twins. I have questioned relatives if they knew anything but in the 1960s you could go months without seeing relatives. My maternal grandmother was a midwife. These could have belonged to her work. But she was a tyrant and my mother used to move around training racing horses to get away from her. She had an affair with a married man in the 60s. When she lived in North Wales it makes sense that the boys were born in Manchester. After her divorce from my dad‚ she reverted back to her full maiden name. In the 60s as I did in the 80s you could call yourself anything you wanted. The mother called herself Dearden and as a maiden name which means they were born out of wedlock‚ the twin boys may not even know they are a twin. I found two short birth certificates with first and last names. no middle name. My and my brother’s middle names are personal‚ and had meaning. The trail goes cold after finding the records of their birth‚ nothing after that which means they had their names changed‚ there are no death records‚ if they died at birth.
