I was adopted in April 1968 and contacted my birth mother 8 years ago and met her once. She has a daughter who is 10 years my junior and a young grandchild but understandably didn’t want me to make contact as her family didn’t know about me at all. I’d love to meet my birth father but he doesn’t want to acknowledge that I exist. He lives in Houston‚ America still with the family he had when he had an affair with my birth mother! I have two half brothers (twins)‚ apparently. I’m not interested in an extended family at all‚ but would like to meet blood relatives occasionally‚ just because they are part of me. It is hard being ’rejected’ twice... but I won’t search these siblings out because it’s not fair to disrupt lives unnecessarily.
