I was conceived in Germany where my birth mother was a shipping clerk (civilian) attached to the army, my father was an American serviceman in the US Army. My mother was Angela Mary Sutherland Leghorn, aged 22 years and she came from Southport, she had a sister and a mother and was returning there after giving me up for adoption in April or May 1955 I was born in St Helier Hospital, Carshalton, London Borough of Sutton on 1st April 1955
