My father Dennis Keeble Pipe (born 24/03/1925) was brought up in Naphill, nr High Wycombe but I believe he was adopted, possibly through the Salvation Army as my grandparents (Ethel Pipe née Tilbury and Keeble Wilgress Pipe) were involved in the High Wycombe Branch. My father died 18 September 1996. His death certificate showed Leytonstone London as his birth place but his birth certificate merely shows England!My grandmother had one son called Arthur born to her on 02/06/1925 but he only lived for two hours. We believe my father was possibly adopted to replace very quickly poor little Arthur.
