Hi‚ so my mum was born on the 12-11-68 in Lewisham hospital‚ born as Patricia Anne Reid weighing 7lbs4oz‚ she was put up for adoption and spent the first 3 weeks of her life in a place called "The mission of Hope" in Surrey. As far as we know her birth mother - Anne was born 16-7-50 and already had a son and was 18 when my mum was born. Her birth mother was supposed to marry her birth father who was named Charles Lythe who was 20 at this point. Unfortunately drugs got involved and the marriage was cancelled. Her adoptive parents received a letter on 29th November 68 and they arranged to collect her at 2.30pm on 12th December from Rotherham. The papers where signed at Workington County Court 6-3-69 where it was made official. My mother passed away January 2022 and has always wanted to find her brother which would be my uncle ( I am her 30 year old daughter looking to just complete what she started‚ anything that could possibly come from this would be everything.x
