My son was born about 4am on Friday 10 April at Leytonstone Hospital Maternity unit. We spent a week there then transferred to a home in Putney for mothers and babies. On Friday 8 May the matron took my son to his new family. The handover took place in Kensington‚ I think. His father was a civil servant and the parents were planning on adopting a daughter approximately 2 years later.
