I am trying to find the birth parents of my grandmother whilst researching my family tree. My grandmother’s name was Margaret Kathleen Palmer (nee Jones) and she was adopted by Kathleen Maud Rayner and Reginald Frank Palmer. We think she may have been born in Wales but this is not based on anything concrete! She married Geoffrey Stanley-Smith on 21st of July 1956 and they lived in Burundi‚ Africa for some time before moving to the Isle of Wight‚ where she died in 2003.
