I am searching for my mother’s biological mother. She was born in October of 1965 in Georgia. She was adopted through Floyd County Family and Children Services in Rome‚ GA. She has little to no information about her biological family except this: she was told her mother was an unwed teen‚ become pregnant by a young man in the military and he was not aware of the pregnancy. The pregnancy was a result of a one time encounter‚ not a serious relationship. I’ve wondered if the act was consensual or not. She was told her mother did not look at or hold her and she was immediately taken away. She was a big baby with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was also told that the women in her mother’s family were prone to headaches and migraines. Also‚ her maternal grandfather was said to have reddish hair and a reddish complexion. I do believe this was a situation where the teen mother was sent away until baby was born‚ so I can’t be sure where mother is actually from.
