I was born July 22, 1964 my birth mother’s name is Lynn Mayo it was a private adoption. I was born in Columbus Georgia my adoption was handled through Dr. Ward who is deceased and attorney Mr. Knight. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2017. I have a daughter and a granddaughter and would like to know my medical history so that they may not have to go through what I had did. I tried 23 and me twice and was told they could not collect enough DNA and I was informed that I could never submit another DNA sample to 23 and me. Mini years ago I was able to contact Dr. Ward‘s office and was told he was deceased but I was also told that my adoption record or birth may also be on microfilm at Columbus General Hospital I am looking for any solutions, answers or possible direction on how I should proceed to obtain my medical history.
