My husband was adopted when he was a baby. The story he has always been told is that his birth mother was a married woman that had a brief relationship or possibly a one time encounter with a Sailor that was on a leave. She ended up getting pregnant. Once she gave birth her family would not accept her baby because they were very religious and he was born outside of her marriage. She wanted to keep him but knew he would never be accepted so she gave him up for adoption hoping to give him a better life. As far as we know the birth father never knew about him. He was adopted by his parents and they loved him very much. Unfortunately his dad passed away in 2010 and his Mom recently passed away this past December. They never had any other children or adopted any so he is an only child and has no other family except for a cousin that lives far away and me and our children. We are wanting to find his biological parents and or family members.
