My adopted name is Daniel Andrew Nastoff and I was born at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta Georgia on january 10, 1966. My birth mother signed the documents releasing me for adoption on January 12, 1966. According to the Georgia adoption reunion registry she was 20 years old and listed a home address in Milton, Florida. In the last year or so, I joined 23 and me and provided my DNA. On 23 and me, I found a person named Debra Clenendine (fka Dedman) from Virginia Beach, VA who was identified as my first cousin. 23 and me also indicated that we do not share the same maternal haplogroup so it would follow that the grandparents we share are on her father’s side. Thes two grandparents were Archie Dedman and Beulah Mae Plowman of Lexington Kentucky. According to my research, they had four children: 1) Barry (Debra’s father therefore, my Uncle), 2) David H. Dedman, 3) Sandra Bell (Dedman and 4) Bill Dedman. I believe that one of these last three are either my birth mother or my birth father. Based on age, David and Sandra are the most likely candidates. I have shared some messages through 23 and me with Debra but have not had contact with any of the other people mentioned. I believe I have accurate addresses and phone numbers for David and Sandra. The door to my past has been locked tight for so long. I am 53 and the opportunity for me to have actual contact with my birth parents is perilously short based on their age at this point. Any help you can provide would mean so much. Thank you.
