In 1957, an adopted child’s place of birth indicated on the birth certificate was - so I was told - the name of the town where the adopted parents lived. They lived in Fort Valley, Georgia, United States, where my (adoptive) father was a Presbyterian minister. He told me to always pray for my biological mother and her family and her loved ones because of how painful it was to give up a child. He also told me that she always loved me. Anyway, he said that I may have been born in Milledgeville or Atlanta.
