I am searching for my nephew who was born on July 23‚ 1999 (premature-weighing 3lb 11oz) in Atlanta‚ GA. His birth name was Andrew Patrick Robinson (Andrew being our brother’s first name and Patrick‚ our father’s middle name) and a variation of his name was kept. I cannot remember if Andrew was changed to a middle name‚ or if Patrick was kept. The adoption took place through the Forsyth County DFCS and was finalized in Gwinette County‚ GA after Andrew had been a foster child with his adoptive family for about a year. I was in contact with the adoptive family for a time and received a letter and some photographs of Andrew. It has been several years since we last spoke and I have lost the envelope with the name and address‚ and am unable to locate my nephew with the limited information that I have. During the time that I was in contact with them‚ my last name was Bernard. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. I believe Andrew would have been raised in Georgia as his adoptive family were well established professionals who had also adopted other foster children whom they were blessed with. I hope that Andrew will seek his birth family as we are all eager to be reunited after all of this time apart. We understand how such a reunion could bring with it mixed emotions‚ but please be reassured that we come with no expectations‚ and do not want to replace your family‚ but to welcome you with open arms into ours as well. I can say that there has never been a day that has passed that your mother has not thought of you‚ dreamed of you‚ and prayed to see you again. You have 3 half-siblings that would also love to meet you‚ ages: 3‚ 8‚ and 13. Your Uncle Andy still lives Georgia and after several years of being away (having lived in Alaska when you were adopted‚ and then in other states up north including Kansas‚ which was the last place I lived while still in contact with your parents) I also live in Georgia. You have 2 Aunts‚ 1 Uncle‚ and 11 cousins between the three of us‚ 5 of which live in Georgia. Please‚ please reach out and let your mother know that you are safe‚ that your life has been full of joy and happiness‚ and that you are ready to meet her again.
