I am looking for the family of my father who was adopted in Cape Town. His adopted name was Gregory Joseph Barnard and he was adopted by Evelyn and John Barnard. He was born on 30th October 1965‚ and I believe his biological mother did not want to let him go but coming from a staunch NG Kerk family‚ she had to relinquish him. My father died when I was 16 months old and my adopted grandmother let the adoption agency in Cape Town know of his passing. His biological mother and sister tried to contact me when I was 8 (around 1998/99) but my adopted grandmother wouldn’t let her contact me. My adopted grandmother has now passed away and I would like to get in touch with my biological family.
