I am searching for my paternal half-sibling‚ who I believe was born in or around 1954 in Cape Town‚ South Africa‚ and placed for adoption shortly after birth. My father‚ David Dyfrig Jones‚ was born in Cape Town in 1934 to Welsh parents. He was studying at the University of Cape Town (UCT) around 1954‚ possibly undertaking teacher training‚ when he and his then-partner had a child who was subsequently placed for adoption. He would have been approximately 19 or 20 years old at the time. Unfortunately‚ I don't know the child's birth name‚ the birth mother's name‚ the hospital where the child was born‚ or which adoption agency was involved. I am David's daughter and currently live in Australia. I would dearly love to find my half-sibling‚ or any of their descendants‚ and potentially make contact if they would welcome it. Any information that could help me trace this part of my family would be greatly appreciated.
