I gave birth by Caesarean section to a boy on 10 May 2001 at the Pretoria West Hospital in Pretoria, South Africa. The adoption was handled by Sandra van der Merwe (social worker) with CMC. I remember that the adoptive parents were American and moved frequently, as the father was employed by the Air Force. They had also already adopted at least 2 other children by that time.
