The state of Florida took her and her brother in the early 70s where they were placed in an orphanage in Citrus County she was then adopted at the age of five and her name was changed to Cynthia Elizabeth Mylrea. Her brother was adopted by the same family and his name was changed to Benjamin Mylrea
