Hi‚ my father was born in 1963 and had about 4 other siblings‚ they were all surrendered to the courts in Florida by their father at the same time. The adoption papers I saw many years ago said Bruce as the surname and stated the mother had not returned home one day and the father was unable to care for them. Mother’s whereabouts unknown at the time of the judgment for adoption. As strange of a story as it is‚ it’s a very real story. My father was adopted by wonderful people‚ but they have long since passed. I am longing to know my father’s siblings‚ and his parents (if still alive)‚ I would love to meet my paternal grandparents‚ aunts‚ uncles‚ cousins‚ anyone from his side of the family. It’s so unfair and mysterious to not know half of your family. I have DNA testing‚ and ancestry. But without names & information I am stuck. I know that his surname is Bruce- that’s what I remember seeing on the adoption paperwork. Everything was in Florida‚ I believe Broward- but I honestly can’t remember what I saw years ago‚ the only copies we had of the adoption papers have been lost. Please assist if this sounds familiar to you. Please reach out.
