You were adopted at birth (I never got to see you) through a private adoption (lawyer). I had just turned 17 and had no idea what to do. This took place in Broward County‚ Florida. I think the hospital was Broward General in Fort Lauderdale‚ but I cannot remember for sure. My last name was Burgess. And‚ yes I do know your birth father’s name. But we have never been in touch after we signed the papers in the lawyer’s office. And unfortunately‚ only a short time later there was a fire at said lawyer’s office and everything in there was lost. I do not remember his name‚ only that he was in Fort Lauderdale‚ FL I think. I can only hope papers had already been filed with the county recording your birth. I have never forgotten you.
