As a young teen‚ I gave birth to a boy in St Joseph Hospital in Tampa Fl. My name was Michelle Denise VanLengen. Towards the end of my labor‚ I was put under‚ I woke up in a ward that was not delivery. I was instructed to sign papers while still under drugs. I never saw my son. His father’s name was not given‚ as it would have been considered .statutory rape. I am not sure if my name is on his birth certificate. I wanted to name him Daniel‚ but I was told that was not possible. My adoption was not my choice‚ but I had no options.
