My daughters name is Alexandria Keily Groh (Lexi/Lexie). My name is Monica Lachman and her bio father’s name is Christopher Groh. She was born at West Boca Medical Center in Boca Raton‚ Fl on 10/21/2007 at 6lbs 12oz. I am updating this 10/20/2025‚ the day before her (or your if you come across this) 18th birthday. If you read this I love you and miss you and want nothing more than to have some small part in your life. I was 17 when she was born and from the moment her paternal grandmother (Maureen Merecka) knew I was pregnant she was trying to take her. I never wanted her to be taken. I was not a drug addict or neglectful‚ I was just young and poor and didn’t have resources or knowledge that would have kept us together. Maureen was a paralegal and in a new relationship where she wanted a child but couldn’t because of her age‚ medical history‚ and boyfriends legal issues. She also had regrets about not raising her sons. This combination I think is why she did what she did. She illegally filed for custody behind our backs (incorrect spelled names/notices sent to addresses she knew we didn’t live at‚ etc) and by the time we knew we had missed court dates and it was done. From there I fought for 3 more years to get custody but it began negatively impacting Lexis mental health. She started saying things like '(Grandma's nickname) says I'm not allowed to love you' etc. The court battle was arduous and I didn't understand half of what was happening. I eventually had to make the hardest decision to stop fighting so she could have some semblance of normalcy without everyone fighting over her and because Maureen was escalating negative treatment towards her over everything. I knew it wasn’t going to end and I had no choice. Updated2/3/2026 Congratulations on graduating early ❤️
