I know that according to my birth certificate‚ I was born in Fort Lauderdale‚ and that the name on my original birth certificate was Baby Boy Standish‚ which (as I understand) was a common "anonymous type" of surname that certain unscrupulous lawyers and birthing homes used (this was during the so-called "baby snatch" era) when they would try to obscure the birthing details of the child in question. My adoptive grandma (when she was alive) gave me some info about my birth parents‚ ie: that both of them were young‚ ( teenagers ) unmarried. and that I was born Jewish.
