I adopted my daughter to a couple through an agency ‚ It was an open adoption. My son is his real sister. My name is Carrie Ann Hammett dob 02-22-1976 her father Paul Jason Downing dob 11/03/1979. She was born in Orange Park‚ Florida at the Orange Park Hospital. They sent me a letter but no names whenever she was 4 years old. They live in Newyork. I fell into a really deep depression for 8 years and think about her every day. I just did not want her to grow up poor as I was a house cleaner and I just had my son Jacob Jason Downing ( her 17 year old brother) . The adopted mother layed on the hospital floor in a corner with me and said it’s okay if your hurting this bad maybe you should change your mind...At that point I knew she had a very good heart. I’m 48 now and never received anything from the adoption agency. All I wanted was for her to have a healthy life and my son as well. We lived in a 2 bedroom mobile home‚ but her father has a daughter from his previous wife. My goal is to see if she or the family would like to see her brother. I’m would love to see her‚ I have a broken heart and I have been too scared to write about this. Thank you Contact me. If anyone can please help me find information. We all agreed on an open adoption and it wasn’t what was presented to me.
