Claude C Gordon married my father in law’s mother Gladys E Rhoden in Marion Cty, FLA in 1935. They were divorced in 1940, but the name on the divorce papers says Charles C Gordon. They had Charles Lloyd Gordon 6/2/1936. Claude left shortly after. Charles believes he was in the military, but doesn’t know that for sure. He (Charles) unofficially changed his name in the 3rd grade to take on the name of his step dad, Dennis Dillon. He doesn’t think he was officially adopted until just before he wanted to join the Navy. Gladys and Dennis Dillon were married in Duval in 1945. We don’t have D.O.B. or any other identifying info outside of the marriage and divorce records. I ordered the marriage cert. hoping to find that info, but it just listed their names and dates. They were married 12/24/1935. Gladys’ birthday is 3/8/1912, Sanderson Baker County, FLA., her mother is Darneller Dugger, her father James Millard Rhoden.
