I’m looking for my aunt’s daughter. She was secretly placed for adoption in Florida (don’t know locale) circa 1961. She hired a private investigator to locate my aunt sometime in the ’90s or ’00s, but my aunt declined. At that point she told the family about the adoption. I have very few details. Only that she was probably born in 1960 or 1961, had long brown hair (when initial contact was made), was tall, and her adoptive father, I believe, was a commercial airline pilot. It is also my understanding that the birth father was unaware of the situation and he was somehow involved in college basketball near Poughkeepsie, New York ( where I still live). I have my DNA uploaded to the following: FTDNA kit B218102 GEDMATCH kit A943093 DNA.LAND MYHERITAGE Ancestry.com (family tree is public, username is feathercabin) I would very much like to touch base with my cousin and possibly give her whatever she was seeking from my aunt...as little or as much as that may be.
