My brother was taken immediately after our mom gave birth to him at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, FL. We do not share the same father. Both my father and our mother have now passed and I am JUST now learning of this happening. What little I DO know is that before his mother passed she had confided in her sister many times who has shared with me this info: My mom told her that she left home when she was 15 she was only 15 years old and that is when she met the babys father, fell in love and became pregnant shortly after meeting. when she gave birth to him - She believed it was a baby boy- she only had a glimpse of the baby before he was quickly removed from the room and she never saw him again. Her parents was for some reason didn’t like the babys father or his family. Apparently the boy came from a well off family who owned a flower distribution farm in DelRay, West Palm Beach, Florida where he resided in a home off of Military Trail Rd, near Atlantic Ave. we believe the young man was around 17 years old and his name was Robert E. Lee (jr.?) Because of her parents hatred for the young man they forced adoption. We are not sure if Robert even had a voice in the decision or not. Tragically, my Aunt was able to uncover decades later that Robert Lee has since passed away from a car wreck. from the detective work and research my wife has done, she has only been able to put together that she believes he was born October 5, 1945 and he lived in the DelRay/Boca Raton area for the majority, if not all of, his life. My mothers name was Suezan Purvis at the time she gave birth. My Aunt told me that even though she married 3 times after that she died still in love with Robert. My Aunt said that her and her sister decades after tried to search for her baby boy, but they immediately was told that all adoption records are sealed and they quickly gave up the search not knowing what else could even be done (this was likely in the 70’s/80’s long before information was at their fingertips. He may not even know anything about his birth parents, or even looking for them but I have to try. there is important health conditions she had that he should know about. This is all I know for now, as mentioned above I have only just learned this even happened and my mother passed away August, 8th, 2006, I guess this was something she didn’t want to discuss with anyone and only confided small bits to her sister. I should also mention that even though Robert has apparently passed away as well, that he had a younger brother named Jack Lee who we presume is living but only know that he was a couple years younger than Robert and that is all we know of Roberts family. We would love to find my big half brother. He should also know that he has three (including myself) younger half brothers!
