I am looking for the son that my aunt was made to give up for adoption at the time of his birth. My Aunt Betty was more like a mother to and she spent a large portion of her life wondering what and where the son that her parents made her give up at birth was. She was 18 years old when she gave birth to a white male sometime in 1980. The child was born in Vero Beach Florida which is part of Indian River County. Unfortunately my Aunt passed away in 2021 from cancer never getting to find out about the son that she gave up in 1980. Her father arranged the adoption and he never told Betty when or who he gave the child to and she never got to meet the adoptive parents because her father didn’t want to bring shame to his family name and he didn’t approve of the child’s father marrying his daughter even though Betty and he applied for a marriage license in May 1980 they were never married. The biological father was only 17 years old and his name was Johnny M Phillips.
