I am the aunt of (at birth) Destiny Marie Aponte. I am the sister of Luis Anthony Aponte‚ her father. My Name (at birth) was Noel Marie Aponte. She has an older‚ full brother named Ethan Anthony Aponte. On behalf of what is left of the Aponte family‚ me and her biological father have attempted to find her for over 16 years. She was born in Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach Florida to a Monica Lynn Emerson and my brother. At around 2 years old‚ her biological mother moved to Defuniak Springs Florida. This is where Destiny was removed from the custody of Monica. She was at first placed in a family home‚ in the maternal side‚ of someone in Georgia. However‚ she was placed in a children's psychiatric facility‚ possibly in either Pensacola or Panama City Florida. Monica was able to visit‚ even take the last photos of Destiny (c. age 5). She was adopted out from here and we have no further information. We were told she possibly stayed in the Defuniak Springs area of Fl and possibly been renamed Lynn or Lynette.
