Hello. I have been given conflicting information. What I have been told is My Birth Mother‚ Cynthia Marie Duncan (Cindy) gave birth May of 1989 to a baby girl in Jacksonville FL. She went through the Children’s Home society‚ and was in a catholic unwed mother’s home. She hand chose the parents ‚ the Adoptive mother being a teacher‚ like my birth grandmother. I was told the parents adopted my sister then went on to have a son. I have a photo of my sister at approx 6 months old. There was at least a semi-open adoption ‚ however due to age and immaturity‚ my mother did not hold her part of contact. The father listed on the paper work (Jason Styons) and I have spoken‚ he was my mother’s boyfriend at the time‚ says he was at school‚ was pulled into an office to sign rights away. My mother states Jason is NOT the biological father‚ that it is actually an older man from her neighborhood and she couldn’t disclose this information. In 2019‚ my mother claims she wrote to the agency and had a letter from my birth sister ‚ Jennifer (Jenny) written back‚ however Jenny did not wish to continue communications. I have done ancestry DNA‚ and have been searching for over 15 years for Jenny & just want closure or answers knowing she is okay.
